Another Lame Poem

Cavernous cultures shallow exposure
Contempt closely guard, yet you're easily reminded
Fictitious perceptions with just one gulp
Only to postpone the lump in your throat

Inconsiderate timing of sounds that awake
Trying to let go of the bad, find it difficult to forget
Involuntary reactions take no effort
Rhythmic movements no longer present

Consequences were dismissed, disregarded
Maybe the omnipotent will grant you a pardon

It's time for remorse
Lucky for you there is a never-ending source
Shame, Spite, Shy away from those who choose to alienate
The only one who had something real to say

Jaded and hated a volatile mix
Your soul is the only thing left to risk
The hefty prescription taken to subdue the frights
Pleading to god, "don't let the light loose the fight"

The inevitable you will come to bear
The ability to care is no longer there
Knowing what you already know full well
You can't escape your own made hell
